Welcome to
the Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild!

Who Are We?

The Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild is a fellowship of turners "dedicated to providing practical facilities, education and information to those interested in advancing and promoting woodturning". The practical facilities consist of five lathes, a grinder with Oneway jigs, and tools kept at The Knights of Columbus Hall in Burlington for use by our members and demonstrators. Additionally we have an extensive library of books, magazines, videos and DVDs related to woodturning. We use these facilities to educate and instruct members about turning wood, by means of meetings, workshops and newsletters. We meet twice a month from January to June and from September to November, on the second and third Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM. The single December meeting is reserved as a special celebration in which our spouses and friends join us to welcome the Christmas season.

The meeting on the second Thursday of the month is a hands on session for current members to try out new techniques and ideas on the lathes.
Visitor are welcome at the meeting on the third Thursday of the month to see what the club is about.
