HISTORY In 1993 a group of people interested in woodturning met monthly in a Burlington lumber store. When the store closed in 1995, an organizing committee was struck and the Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild, 29 members strong, first met in January 1996 at the Lord Elgin High School. The Guild became the 150th Chapter of the American Association of Woodturners in 2000. Through various venues and strong executive direction, the Guild has grown to about 140 members. |
