This evening is a Hands-On night, with various turners facilitating demos and inviting others to give it a try.   In particular, demonstrators will be showcasing the use of Carbide Tools.  This will be of particular interest to many leading up to next weeks panel discussion around carbide tools. 

• Mike Brazeau – finish turning bowls from the 101 workshop
• Don Svob- something large and gnarly
• John McAuley – rings
• Ozzie Tatone – hollowing lidded boxes using the One-way Termite Tool
• Suzanne Wood – demo of carbide point tools, Easy Rougher, diamond-detailer, and others
• Scott Millard – hollowing end-grain with carbide

Malcolm will also mount, dress and balance the two aluminum oxide grinding wheels.  This will be helpful for everyone who uses grinding wheels to sharpen their tools.
