Graeme & Melissa are both full time wood artists from North Carolina with a combined 40 years of knowledge and experience.

 

They will talk about the fundamentals of design and influence, how to come up with ideas to embellish and personalize your turning as well as wood selection and preparation, tool selection, sharpening and safety.  

 

They will be demonstrating a range of surface embellishment techniques, rotary carving, woodburning and tip making.  They will also cover the application of acrylic/milk paints, paste waxes and finishing techniques.
