Benefits of Membership

  • The Guild meets every second and third Thursday of the month from September to June. The first Thursday is a "hands-on" night where more experienced members demonstrate an aspect of turning and encourage other members to try their hand. The meeting on the third Thursday is the Guild's regular meeting night where a guest or Guild member provides a demonstration on a specialized skill or signature turning. There is a "Show & Tell" table where members are encouraged to bring in pieces they have recently turned. As well, the Guild's President oversees a "President's Challenge" table with a $25 gift certificate for one of the participants in the challenge.
  • Woodturning 101 basic training courses for new turners are held throughout the year.
